Drugs are becoming more common in the UAE in recent times. There are many problems of taking drugs that is affecting our society. Even though it s a big problem there are some possible solutions.
First of all, many school students are taking tablets to make them energetic and stay a long time without sleeping or even eating. This kind of drug used to be sold in pharmacies but now it’s illegal to take it because it affects the health of the user. Secondly, some of the teenagers are taking drugs because of peer group pressure, the desire to try new things and also out of boredom. Moreover, one last point worthy of mentioning is that smoking tobacco is the most common legal drug in the UAE which is taken by adults and also teenagers. This legal drug is the one which is making the most damage.
As there are causes for taking drugs there are some possible solution. More awareness programs should be shown for young people in schools and colleges. This may make them aware of the disadvantages. In addition, student should find something to keep busy from drug using. Schools should make them participate in many activities. Also one important solution is to pay the police more to make them more interested in finding drug dealers.
Finally, drugs will always be a big problem but I believe that every problem has a solution and hopefully many people will be aware of the drug using and try to avoid it.

why emiratis drop out of school
Quite a lot of Emiratis drop out of school for various reasons. It’s a huge issue which most people are discussing nowadays. Now am going to outline the problems and some possible solution.
Leaving school has many causes. One of the main causes is peer group pressure which affects most young people. Peer groups sometimes forces people to do things even if it was not right. Second, some students find studying a boring thing to do and this is probably because they want to experience new things. Moreover, failure in studies makes many students feel depressed and have low self steam. One more point worthy of mentioning is that when the young students face financial problems ether because of the death of the father or the divorce they tend to leave schooling.
As there are problems there are also some possible solutions. First thing is that everyone should choose a good peer group as it has a great effect on a person. Secondly, the teaching methods should be changed to be more interesting and the teacher should take courses on how to do so. Students should be encouraged to study even if they have failed several times. Financial problems are a serious problem but it should be solved by giving them money to motivate them to continue study.
Finally, education is the most important thing in every body’s life. Everyone should take studying seriously and try to solve any problems that face them.

I am a young Emirati guy. My name is Mohammed Ahmed Alkhameeri; I was born in the small oasis of alain on July 27th 1990. After I was born my parents came back to Abu Dhabi after they have finished visiting my grandparents in Al Ain. I started studying when i was three in a private school till I graduated from the Emirates Private School which is one of the best and oldest school.
Often in my childhood we used to go camping in the desert or visit my family in Dubai Jumeira specifically. Jumeira was a very nice quiet area where my grandmothers were born and where most of my mother’s family are from. It was a lovely place and the houses that we stayed in were on the beach, there was an old coffee shop “The Gahwa” where old men used to sit and discuss the matters of life and the problems they were facing at that time. A small super market was also there along with the mosque which is the most important thing for the people of the area.
While I am sitting at home with my mother and aunts and elderly women at that time I remember them making some handcrafts like “ tally” to decorate their clothes with or making the face masks which is called “ burga” it was a wonderful time when I used to see them talking and enjoying their tasks at the same time.
When I was a teenager I remember doing many stupid things like running at midnight without the permission of my parents, and I would feel as if I have done an accomplishment. I like drawing and designing my own things such as folders, note books and many other things.
I love listening to emirate songs and also some other Arabic songs, I like to sing but only for myself I don’t think that am that good to sing in front of others. In my future I want to obtain new skills that will help me in my life and career.
Am studying media as a major and would like so much to be successful in it and in my life.
