Images of Women in Fashion Magazines

These days many women are involved in the fashion industry. Their images are all over the globe in advertisements like perfumes, haute coutures, watches, makeup and more. But all of this has happened after the feminist movement started in the First World War and has become stronger in the Second World War. Now in this essay I am going to discuss the pros and cons of the women images in fashion.
To begin with, fashion plays a very big role in our society these days. Many people are now concerned about the way they look. Women are used commonly now in selling most products even cars. They use the images of women who look sexy to attract customer. Moreover, a lot of people think that it’s ok to let women appear like this in media as it is thought to be sign of liberty or equality with men.
However, I strongly disagree with this kind of thinking. They use women as an attracting agent for their own goods and trying to convince them that it’s the right thing to do. Also I really think that they are trying to convince other women to follow the same trend. If we look at women before the war, women were much more respected even though they had fewer roles in the society.
In conclusion, I really like the styles of clothing that women use to wear before the war, I think that it’s more classy and modest. So at last I think they have to over look this issue and try to think more about women.

Media and Famous people

Nowadays famous people have no privacy in their lives. In the past the media respected the privacy of celebrities while now it doesn’t. In this essay I am going to discuss whether famous people should have a private life or not.
The lives of celebrities are very exposed to the public. They have no privacy at all, for example if a famous person has a vacation every single moment of his life will be known by the whole world. Some people think that the reason for media is to give them new news and to keep them up-to-date with every new thing. Like if a famous actor or actress has a new hair cut their fans think they have the right to know that. Others think that newspapers are there to make money, so they have to make their papers full of the rubbish if people want to buy rubbish. Newspapers pay a lot of money for a photo of a famous celebrity baby. People think that they have the right to know more about the rulers. Many rulers act as if they were saints while they cheat on their wives and get drunk at nights.
On the other hand, I think that famous people private lives should be respected. I think that they wouldn’t mind having part of their life shown to the public but they should give permit ion first. Media makes famous people go crazy and can even lead to their death. Example Princess Diana died because of the paparazzi chasing her. I really think that media now have crossed the red lines and they should respect the rights of others.
Finally , media is a good thing but we should know how to use it wisely.

Tertiary Education

Emirati students have a chance to finish their tertiary education for free. It is a great opportunity that many students from other countries do not have. Many people think that Emirati students should pay for their tertiary education. On the other hand some people think that it’s their right as locals to have free education. In this essay I am going to discuss the arguments for and against the idea of Emiratis paying for their education.
Many people think that Emirati students should pay for their tertiary education. They believe that this is fair for everybody. Moreover, students are careless about attendance. This is because they have not paid a penny for their education. Parents will be more concerned about what their children are doing in the college from the academic side as they are paying for them. Added to this, students will have to work in part time jobs which will give them more experience for the future.
On the other hand, I firmly believe that the Emiratis shouldn’t pay for their education as they have the right to have a free education as long as they are Emirati. Making students pay for tertiary education makes only rich people educated and leaves poor people behind, this is going to divide the society in to two groups educated and illiterate. One point worthy of mentioning is that having a free education is attracting more students to complete their studies and makes education affordable for everyone.
There is no doubt in my mind that education should be totally free because it is unnecessary and pointless to pay for education. Education is a right for every person.

Life in the UAE before oil

UAE‘s life before oil was a very simple and humble life. People at that time had limited range of jobs and everybody had to work. Now in this essay am going to discuss whether the life in UAE was better before or after the discovery of oil.
first and foremost, after the oil was discovered in the Emirates made many changes in different ways. Firstly, new job opportunities have risen such as working in petrol companies or in construction sites as well as starting more developed businesses. However, many people and especially the elderly argue that life in the UAE before oil was much better. This is thought because people used to live more nearer to the nature and had a healthier lifestyle. Moreover, some think that the rapid development of the country made the country more expensive than before and this is due to the increase in the amount of salary.
On the other hand, some people thinks that life was better before. In my opinion I do like the old lifestyle as it’s very simple and lovely but we cannot ignore that it was so difficult at the same time, because there was no choice in choosing what kind of job you would like it was just following your family’s profession. Some people thinks that the health care is much better nowadays even if it is more expensive. Although The modern life style had been adopted very quickly in the UAE and I really don’t think that Emiratis are going to loose their traditions and morals.
last but not least, this will always be a debated topic whether the life in UAE better after or before the discovery of oil because everyone has his own way of thinking and lifestyle. But I really think that life now is much better as we are all educated and connected with the world as the world now is like a small village.
